boscoshowLast week I participated in a bridal expo, and YES people are still getting married for all you cynics out there! I had a blast and also got to meet some great people.  Special thanks to my little elves Glenda, Sarita, and Christelle for all their time and hard work. It’s a blessing to have great friends.

blackandwhite

Black and white is always en vogue.  So clean, and stylish and chic.  Totally diggin’ those croc wellies by Jimmy Choo.  I think there is like a year waiting period if you run and put your name on the list today.  Yikes!  If you are not so inclined to drop all that green for a pair then check on these budget friendly babies or even these.  By the way take some advice from me: don’t wait until a rainy day to add wellies to your wardrobe.  You’ll thank me.

{Pass him along}

rosey1Have you ever purchased a great sweater, at the perfect price, took it home and realized that it is not the perfect fit?  The dilemma:  do you store it in your closet until you lose 15 lbs around your mid-section; do you return the sweater for another girl to snatch up; or rather, do you pass the sweater on to a friend who would love it and wear it well?

I think I would pass it on to a friend.  On this Single Ladies’ Friday, I do not have a past dating story to share but I do have a thought.  Ladies, how do you feel about passing a date along?

You met.  He was a great guy but not the perfect fit.  He and your friend, Tina, however would really hit it off.  It was one date.  Feelings did not attach.  Why not pass him along?

balloonsVL2I3225

I can’t help but notice that balloons are not just for kiddie parties anymore.  Ever since the Miss Cherie Dior frangrance ad campaign came out with their spread, I’ve been noticing the helium baubles used just about everywhere to celebrate formal celebrations.  I love it!  I think its fun, quirky, and totally unexpected.

{ Dating Pet Peeves }

I am totally in love with my husband!   Ladies I must admit, however, there are times when I miss the dating scene: the excitement of something new, the anticipation, getting dressed up and all of the fine dining.  That was fun.  My longing for the days of the past usually last for 4 seconds – once every 6 months; then I remember all of my Dating Pet Peeves.  While I can list over twenty things that irritated me about dating, on this Single Ladies Friday I will share my list of top five Dating Pet Peeves.  Here goes:

#5 –Come correct or please do not come at all – Ladies, have you ever spent the day getting ready for a date?  You know 8:00 am hair appointment; 12:00 nails and waxing, followed by shopping for a new outfit.  You get ready. You look Fierce.  He shows up — did not shave, dress up, or even attempt to get a fresh haircut.  That date is over at hello.

#4 – A Man without a Plan – Is it so hard to plan a date?  I could never understand why a Man would invite me out and call me the day of to ask: “what do you want to do?”  Now, would I be wrong if I replied:  “First, I want to see a Broadway play.  Afterwards, we’ll head to Nobu for dinner.  Then, dancing at Tenjune – bring your Black Card because it’s a 2 bottle minimum.”   Dude, plan the date because that is what I want to do.

#3 – My name is not Rosey Hefner – Moreover, I do not have a friend for your Boy.  I found it so irritating when a guy would invite me out then call to tell me he’s rolling through with his Boy, then question if I have a cute friend?  The answer is No, I do not have a friend and you and your Boy can roll on out.

#2 – The awkward moment – The check on the table!!!  This may easily be interchanged with my number 1 dating pet peeve.  There must be a book out there that explains that the check must not hit the table.  More importantly, the check must never linger on the table.  If the book is not out there I may have to write it.  Ladies, please buy it for your brothers and boy cousins.

#1 –Dutch, you must be out of your mind! – No, I am not Dutch.  I have never been to Dutch (please allow me poetic license).  I do not eat Dutch.  I will NEVER GO DUTCH – he must have lost his!@#! mind!

On this Single Ladies Friday I am going to admit that dating is not always fun.  But, it sure is entertaining.  Please entertain us with your Dating Pet Peeves.
