A perfect Saturday night date. Go see Coco Avant Chanel and you won’t be disappointed. Audrey Tatou draws you in as the young Gabrielle Chanel in this story of love, self discovery, and feminism. I am totally crushing on Ms. Tatou right now. Thumbs up.

Friday, October 9th, 2009Last night I met a dear friend for dinner and drinks. It was not long before we started talking Blog. I am happy to say that since I have started writing the Single Ladies Friday blog post, past blog topics always surface in conversation. Last night, Kay mentioned that she forwarded DATING DOWN to another friend and the question came up—Why is a married woman writing about dating? The answer below:
Twelve weeks ago when I was invited to contribute to LittleHoliday, I struggled with what to write about. The debate was equally balanced between what I would be interested in writing about week and week and what our visitors would be interested in reading about week after week. The weekend prior to my first post, I hung out with three different sets of girlfriends who all talked boys, guys, men and dating drama. Single Ladies Friday was born and the content for WHY NOT flowed freely. The debate was over; I would devote my weekly inspirational thoughts to the topic of dating in your thirties and all that it entails.
Yes, I am newly married but I was on the “dating scene” for over a decade. I am not a dating expert. I never want to come off as if I’ve reached the Holy Grail of marriage and now it is my duty to spread the gospel on how to get a husband (quote/unquote). I write about dating since I can relate, I’ve been there, my girlfriends are still talking about it and it provides material for many more stories to come.
With every blog post I hope to read different points of view, spark conversations, debates and interests. PUT A RING ON IT is still receiving comments. With DATING WITH CHILDREN I incited a quiet storm that caused my husband to chime in- something he swore he would never do. I was surprised that more men did not comment on PROJECT FIXAMAN and LET HIM GO. My favorite post to write was DATING PET PEEVES – I might do a part deux. On this Single Ladies Friday, I felt it was important to answer that question, so please forgive me for not sharing a dating story. Take the time to catch up on the articles you missed. Keep talking LittleHoliday. We love our readers. Happy Friday and happy reading.
With love,
Rosey

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009I lamented heavily a few weeks ago about a promo item I wanted to offer my lovely brides who attended the bridal expo I showcased in. Thanks for all who weighed in and all the emails! Of course it always seems like a food item always prevails in the end. I treated my guests to some delicious dark chocolates and discount scratchies. Sweets + Sale = Perfect Combination.
