The June/July issue of Lonny Magazine has this amazing spread of a cute little studio apartment designed by Elizabeth Bauer. It has all my favorite elements – pink and navy for one, animal print wallpaper splashed even on the ceiling, all out bohemian pillows, classic french aesthetic and that gorgeous baroque mirror and console. I scanned these this morning and thought I should put it right here for safe keeping. I have a feeling I will be stealing some of these ideas …

I don’t know what it is about this wallpaper but for some reason every time I see I get inspired – to do what exactly? … well I am not sure. Though I’ve day dreamed a million plus ways I could use it. My mother whose decorating advice I tend to trust – she knows everything to do with color and while I usually shun her advice initially only to discover she was dead on all along! – Aahhh -the joys of motherhood! Anyway, she thinks its just dull and dead. She said and I quote “why would you want to live amongst the dead and dreary.” Hmmm maybe this is something I need to look into. I guess it is kind of dead looking huh?! But I still love it and I want to use it but where? but how? but when? Any thoughts out there?

Apologies for the lack of posts all last week – well I had the blues and a really bad case of them. Couldn’t put pen to paper or fingers to keys. But, this is a new day and new week – looking forward to bright skies although by the looks of things today its quite dreary outside. But onward I say! And today I am posting various office space that truly inspire each for different reasons. Over the past few weeks I guess the biggest lesson for me has been its not about the size of the space but more so about how you the maximize your inches. I hope you enjoy.

I first heard about this new online magazine, Lonny, by the lovely Jennifer Ramos over at Made By Girl. Then I discovered that its founders had ties to the ill fated and very much missed Domino and my interest was doubly peaked. Its in its third issue and each one is has better than the last – I am finding myself looking forward to the next issue the way I would wait for my Domino to come – thats a great sign. I will post this here for future reference. Graciously introduced by lobster and swan, this great Danish site is kind of like a glammed up Anthropologie. These baubles will make great anytime gifts, hostess gifts and are also great for adding just a little extra ummph to your holiday decor. A little sparkle here and there will add just the right magic. I couldn’t help but ooh and ahh while flipping through their winter diary. I just love it!
