Being a native new yorker for the past ehem years and I can’t believe I just made it to Coney Island last month. Its a stubborn piece of nostalgia that is part of Old New York that I am thrilled is still here for my daughter to enjoy. The vibrant colors, the sticky smell in the air of cotton candy, the bright red candy apples all lined in a row, the rickety screeching of the amusements park rides ( I did wonder once or twice if the rides would derail at any moment leaving me flailing in air) – all necessary for the makings of a fun day at the park. Well in need of a complete multi-million dollar renovation with all the bells and whistles – it would be well worth it.
